Their strategic guidance, financial oversight, and compassionate governance ensures the long-term sustainability and excellence of our school.

Board Members
Mark McFadden | President
Mark McFadden is Co-Managing Partner of CCMP Capital, a private equity firm focused on making investments in Consumer and Industrial companies. CCMP focuses on generating strong returns for its investors through the operational transformation and growth of its portfolio companies. Mark focuses on investments in the industrial sector, currently sitting on the board of CCMP portfolio companies BGIS, a leading provider of integrated facilities management services and Hayward Industries (NYSE: HAYW), a leading global manufacturer of pool equipment. Mark’s prior CCMP portfolio investments include Generac Power Systems (NYSE: GNRC), Ecovyst (NYSE: ECVT), and Milacron (NYSE: MCRN). Mark joined CCMP in 2002, and worked in CCMP’s London office from 2004 to 2006. Prior to joining CCMP, Mark worked in investment banking with Credit Suisse and Bowles Hollowell Conner. Mark holds a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in History from the College of William and Mary. Mark and his wife Caton are proud parents of three children, including their son Cole who has attended Quad Prep since 2016.
Kimberly Busi, MD | Founder and Head of School (Ex-Officio)
For over a decade, Kim has stewarded Quad Prep’s growth and innovated a new model in which twice-exceptional students learn and thrive beyond the limitations of a traditional school environment. She is widely recognized as a national leader in the field of 2e education. A highly-regarded psychiatrist and a former Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, Kim’s medical background and experience as an educator have informed the fully integrated academic and clinical model at Quad Prep. Dr. Busi received her medical degree from the Brown University School of Medicine, completed a year’s training in pediatrics at the New York Hospital-Weill Medical Center, and finished her residency training in psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. At NYU, Dr. Busi designed curriculum, taught, and supervised residents. She served on the curriculum committee for the Department of Psychiatry, and as the Director of Education for the NYU/Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture. She is an endlessly fascinated fiction reader and the mother of two wonderful young adults. Kim is most proud of the countless stories of joyful learning and transformation our Quad Prep students experience each day.
Marcus Mabry | Vice President
Marcus Mabry is MSNBC's Senior Vice President for Content Strategy, overseeing the execution, look, and feel of MSNBC’s current and future digital products and the network’s direct-to-consumer, subscription and premium businesses across digital, audio, video, and long-form content. He also leads MSNBC Live, the network’s live events business. Before coming to MSNBC, Marcus was CNN's SVP of Digital Editorial and Programming. He is a former Editor at Large and International Business Editor of The New York Times and former Paris Correspondent, Africa Bureau Chief, State Department Correspondent, and Chief of Correspondents at Newsweek. In addition to working at Twitter, he has also worked at The Boston Globe and his hometown newspaper, The Trentonian. He was the 1999-2000 CFR Murrow Press Fellow, former President of the Overseas Press Club of America and author of two books, one on Condoleezza Rice and one on growing up Black in White America.
Marilyn Kline, MD | Secretary
Marilyn Kline received her medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Specialist Training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine. She is currently an Attending Physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Manhattan VA Hospital, with an academic appointment at the NYU Langone School of Medicine. As part of her role in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Kline leads a multidisciplinary team, caring for and coordinating care for very sick veterans in a busy ICU. Her administrative work includes serving as the Director of Nutritional Support Team, leading “best practice” groups, guiding quality assurance measures, and coordinating educational activities for nurses, medical students, physician assistant students, nursing students, physician assistants, interns, residents, and fellows As the mother of 3 young boys, two of whom are twice-exceptional, she is also an special needs advocate.
Allie Alperovich
Allie Alperovich is a partner at Ropes & Gray in New York where she leads the executive compensation and benefits group. Allie advises companies, investors, fund sponsors, and executives on complex executive compensation, benefits and ERISA issues. Her practice focuses on the human capital aspects of mergers and acquisitions, as well as ongoing executive compensation matters for both companies and executives. Allie and her husband, Dr. Jeremy Simon, live with their two daughters on the Upper West Side. Over the past twenty years, she has served on the board of her synagogue, Darkhei Noam, as well as on the board of the American Friends of Itim and the executive committee of JOFA (Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance), both organizations that work to amplify women's voices and expand civil rights in religious communities. She is a graduate of Princeton University and Yale Law School.
Alan Carr
Alan Carr has been a member of the Quad Prep board since 2019. He is a former lawyer who transitioned to a finance career 20 years ago. Alan was previously a Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed credit and private equity firm, where he split his time between the US and Europe. Before that, he was in the NYC office of Skadden Arps. In 2013, Alan co-founded and is the Managing Member of Drivetrain, LLC, an independent fiduciary services firm supporting companies experiencing financial uncertainty, particularly as a professional corporate director. Among more notable companies Alan has helped navigate through difficult times include Sears, J.C. Penney and Toys R Us.
Foremost, Alan is the proud father of twins Zac (2023 Quad graduate and junior at Landmark College) and Alexa, as well as Zac’s adorable service dog Benson. But, the one who really keeps him in line is his much smarter wife of 23 years, Beth. Beth and Alan live in and raised their family in Manhattan.
Alan graduated from Brandeis University and Tulane Law School. Away from family and work, Alan’s passions include golf, fishing, collecting vinyl records, seeing live music, and spending time in his next-favorite city New Orleans.
Ray Chan
Ray Chan is a multi-asset investor who has led global investment teams across complex regulatory and investing environments. He is currently the Co-Head of Strategy and Rates at Liberty Mutual Investments. Ray also led an investment team at Blackstone Group where he focused for three years on liquid alternative investing. Prior to Blackstone, Ray spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, where he helped build the multi-asset investing business, was a member of the multi-asset investment committee, and was the lead portfolio manager on multiple multi-asset investment mandates. Ray began his career as a management consultant at Oliver, Wyman. He holds a A.B. From Harvard college in Honors Biochemistry (magna cum laude), an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and graduated from Milton Academy in Massachusetts. Ray and his wife Lisa Mahle are proud parents of two children, including their son, Theo, who has attended Quad Prep since 2022.
Harini Chundu
Harini Chundu is a portfolio manager at Advent Capital Management, a global convertible bond investment firm. In addition to her investment duties, Harini sits on executive committees related to initiatives around best practices in incorporating Artificial Intelligence and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Harini began her career at Lehman Brothers and then moved into investment management where she accumulated 20 years of experience in investing across the capital structures, spanning leveraged loans to equity. She graduated with a BA in Health & Societies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 and received an MBA (Value Investing Program) from Columbia Business School in 2011. Harini is a member of the Penn Arts & Sciences Ambassador Council which serves to build and strengthen the University’s liberal arts alumni engagement and network. Harini and her husband Andy are parents to two boys, with their older son Will having started in kindergarten at Quad Prep in 2020.

Sam Lalanne
Sam Lalanne is a Managing Director and Chief Diversity Officer at Morgan Stanley. As Chief Diversity Officer, Sam works with leaders across the Firm on innovative strategies for attracting, advancing, and retaining top talent. In addition, Sam is the Head of Strategy for the Institute for Inclusion, leading the critical work to catalyze and accelerate an integrated and transparent strategy around diversity, equity, and inclusion in order to deliver the full potential of Morgan Stanley and drive meaningful change within the Firm and beyond.
Sam is the senior sponsor for the Firm’s neurodiversity center of excellence, and is a member of the ESG Committee and the Global Wellbeing Board.
Prior to his current role, Sam was the Head of D&I for the Institutional Securities Group (ISG), Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), and International. In this role, Sam served as a strategic partner and trusted advisor across institutional businesses, and integrated regional initiatives across the global footprint to deliver to our colleagues, our communities, and our clients.
Sam joined Morgan Stanley in 2019 from Citi where he had a distinguished career spanning 19 years. During his tenure, Sam held leadership positions in the Talent & Diversity, Institutional Client, and Private Banking organizations.
Sam holds his B.S. in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife and two daughters.
Evan LePatner
Evan LePatner is the Founder and Managing Partner of Courizon Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on industrial and consumer businesses facing defining moments of change. Prior to founding Courizon, he most recently served as a Partner at Gamut Capital Management, where he led the Building Products, Chemicals, Industrials, Metals, and Consumer/Retail sectors.
Previously, Evan spent nearly a dozen years at KPS Capital Partners, where he was responsible for identifying, executing and managing control private equity investments across the Industrial and Consumer sectors. Prior to KPS, he was an Associate at Kohlberg & Company. Evan began his career as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Citigroup.
Evan received a BA with Distinction in Political Science from Yale University. He is active on the boards of several institutions and philanthropic organizations.
Paul Levinsohn
Paul Levinsohn is the Co-Founder of New York City Regional Center, a firm that provides construction financing across a broad spectrum of infrastructure and real estate projects in New York City. Since its founding in 2008, much of the firm’s financing targets projects in underserved areas in need of long-term economic growth. Examples include the installation of high-speed Wi-Fi in the city’s subway stations, the construction of Fresh Direct’s new distribution center in the Bronx, the repurposing of cargo facilities at JFK Airport, and the redevelopment of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. In 2016, the firm expanded into new market tax credit financing and has helped fund the construction of new charter schools in Harlem, Brooklyn and the Bronx, the redevelopment of community healthcare and athletic facilities throughout the city, as well as construction of the National Urban League’s new headquarters in Harlem. In addition to his background in construction financing, Paul has invested in and overseen various private equity transactions over the past twenty-five years. His career also includes public service as a government attorney, federal court judicial law clerk, and a high school teacher.
Paul received his BA, MA (Political Science) and JD from Duke University. While in law school, Mr. Levinsohn was a member of the school’s Law Review, the Duke Law Journal. Paul previously was a member of the Board of Trustees of Duke University. He is currently a Trustee of the Selfhelp Community Services Foundation, a New York City not-for-profit dedicated to maintaining the independence and dignity of seniors and at-risk populations.
Paul and his wife Courtney are parents of two boys. The youngest, Brady, has attended the Lower School at Quad Prep since 2021.
David Orr
Dr. David Orr, MDiv, PhD, is a hospice chaplain providing end of life spiritual care to patients and their families in New York City. He focuses his practice on the most complex end of life situations, having completed advanced training in hospice for pediatric and mentally ill patients. David graduated from Harvard College, magna cum laude, where he concentrated in Social Studies. He went on to complete his Master of Divinity degree, with highest honors, at Union Theological Seminary with a concentration in religious ethics. He continued his doctoral studies in religious ethics at Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University where he was advised by Professor Gary Dorrien. David defended his dissertation on Reinhold Niebuhr’s political theology and received his PhD in 2016. David serves as a board member and board chairman emeritus of All Star Code, a youth development organization. He is chairman of the board of Chances for Children, a mental health provider specializing in family therapy for parents and young children living in poverty. David is the founding chairman of the National Development Advisory Council for the Phillips Brooks House Association at Harvard. He serves as a trustee of Bank Street College of Education. David lives in New York City with his husband, Brant Wong, and his two children.
Jason Pike
Jason Pike is the Head of Capital Markets of SVPGlobal, a global investment firm focusing on special situations and private equity opportunities. Prior to joining SVPGlobal in 2018, Jason spent six years as a Managing Director at Charlesbank Capital Partners and was involved in private equity investments in addition to overseeing capital markets activity for the firm. Prior to that, Jason spent over four years at Eos Partners and prior to that, Jason worked at Citigroup, Generation Partners, and began his career within the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in 1998. Jason received his BS in Economics in 1998 and his MBA in 2005 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jason and his wife Julie are parents of two children, including their son, Ethan, who has attended Quad Prep since 2021.
Scott Reisinger
Scott Reisinger is a historian, school leader, and minister. Scott served as the Head of School for Trevor Day School from July 2014 until June 2023. Prior to that, he served as Head of Bancroft School, as Head of the Lower School and Assistant Head of School at Greens Farms Academy, and as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the Harley School. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York and the Guild of Independent Schools of New York City, where he served as Vice President and President. He previously completed a three-year term as Board President of the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE), where he served as a trustee for eight years. He also served for six years as a member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Independent Schools. He is currently a member of the NYSAIS Commission on Accreditation, and has chaired numerous school visiting committees. Scott is a noted writer and speaker on the subject of education.
